I bought gsrev's blower

I should be recieving it soon, Hi , my name is Jim, and I have been a member of SHO for years, I heard about this board from Alex, and I need some help. I have had other toys(my last was a 92 Si with GReddy and intercooler, best et 13.89) I now have a 96 GSR, let me tell you what I have, then what I plan to do, and you tell me(if you can help) what I could do to set up/improve the setup. I have already installed, ITR intake cam, AEM gears, AEM CAI, DC 4-2-1, DC full catback(60mm),AEM underdrive pulleys,A'PEX V-AFC. What I will add: JRSC @8lbs(3.8 wheel), RC 370cc, Vortech FMU, Walbro 317(255lb), and a boost and air/fuel gauge. I want to change the plugs, currently NGK Platinum 9's, I believe they are too hot, and platinum doesn't work well with FI. I need to know what belts I will need, how many and what size? What else will I need(ie the gaskets for the TB and intake) What mods will I need to make, I want to make the install as painless as possible, BTW, I do all my tweaking myself, have many tools, and I am very skilled(somewhat). Will I need any special tools? Does the PDF file I downloaded from JR's site include everything? Alex doesn't have any belts or hoses, what other things should I buy in advance? I e-mailed JR twice, and they don't write back, so I will appreciate all the help I can find, Thanks for the help, and sorry for the long post...Jim

Welcome to the board Groovemaster. If you bought Alex's JRSC then your in good shape. The list of things you have all suits the JRSC well with the exception of the underdrive pulleys and maybe the intake. I don't know if the heat range scale is different for platinums but 9 sounds WAY cold. W/ NGK regular plugs the higher the number, the colder the plug. The stock range for a GSR is 6 and we typically go with 7's for a supercharged app.

The PDF is pretty complete although I don't think it has belt sizes. It does have the 1-800 tech line for JR and I have found it to be more than adequate for things like belt sizes. It does mention all the hoses that you will need and you will need an intake gasket but other than that you should be good to go.

Welcome to the board! I think you will like it hear as we are one big family. The don't have the number off hand but I believe it's on jr website. Call that 800 and ask to speak with shawn. He is a great guy and very helpful. Keith has his moments but.. better be safe than sorry. The plugs that you will need are ngk bkr7e-11. More than likely you will need to special order them. You can use platinums as well but copper is a much better conductor hence is recommended more for fi. As for the belts I have thrown in the old ones incase you want to match them up at a parts store. I certainly would not reuse them.

Thanks for the info, I also just aquired a MSD BTM and 6AL, a B&M adj FPR and Gauge, and a ACT street/strip. I was wondering with my setup what pressure to set the fuel at @ idle? Thanks for all the help, Jim
